The Ilmenau University of Technology (TU Ilmenau) is a German public research university located in Ilmenau, Thuringia, Germany. It was founded in 1894; it has a total of 5 academic departments (faculties) and total enrollment of about 7,200 students. The university has a marvelous campus and is known for its athletics history. Even though the enrollment sounds less in number, it is because of the limits put on by the university which is on the basis of quality of the students.
