Self-Service is a learning management system that allows students to quickly access a variety of online services.
Self Service can be accessed by clicking on the “Self-Service” app within myUnion.
Here you can search for courses, plan your terms, and schedule & register your course sections.
The "Student Planning" page can be accessed from the Self-Service homepage and via the link above.
- Access the above page.
- Click the "Advising" tab.
If you are assigned an advisor, they will be listed in this view above the “Compose a Note” header. If you are not assigned the Advising Office will be listed. Click on the Mail icon to email the advisor.

Prospective students that have not yet created a myUnion account can search upcoming courses via the above link.
Self-Service Course Catalog User Guide
This guide provides a walk-through, with images, of how to use both the basic "Subject Search" and "Advanced Search" tabs within the Self-Service Course Catalog.
- Access the above page.
- Under the course you wish to withdraw from click “Drop.”
- Following successful completion you will see the course change from “Green: Registered” to “Yellow: Planned.”
The "At A Glance" section on above page shows your academic summary, including your Degree, Major, GPA and Catalog Year.
The “My Progress” section provides a visual representation of your progress toward your degree. Courses displayed in this section will have a status of either “Completed, In Progress, Registered, Planned or Not Started. When you have completed a requirement, Student Planning will collapse the category. Courses that are not applied to your major, will show up at the page’s bottom under “other courses”.
