The Stark County Day Reporting Program was established in 1998 through grant funding from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) to work in conjunction with the Stark County Adult Probation Program as a non-residential prison and jail diversion program. Together Day Reporting and Adult Probation have a goal of diverting offenders from prison by placing them on community supervision and providing interventions to meet their needs.
The program employs licensed counselors, social workers and chemical dependency counselors to provide treatment and intervention to participants who are referred by the Adult Probation Department. Staff also consists of a community service officer, community service coordinator, day jail monitor and receptionist to assist the participants in completing all orders of their sentencing judge for the felony conviction. Day Reporting staff works closely with Adult Probation to assist participants in meeting the goals of their individual case plans and treatment plans.
